Nailah’s Shea: My New Skin Care Obsession

Nailah’s Shea: My New Skin Care Obsession

So let me tell y’all a quick story about how I was introduced to the great products crafted by Nailah’s Shea. My mother kept talking about a shea butter she tried and insisted that I had to try it. When she came to visit she let me try some and long story short it became mine! I mean she had to see that coming right? I used it and in only 2 days I was already seeing results with the eczema on my hands. The first product I tried was the lemongrass whipped shea body butter. It smelled great and felt wonderful. I found their Instagram page and rambled on and on about how much I loved the product in their DMs. The owner and creator Camilia Majette, who is awesome and very kind, responded and was nice enough to offer me some additional products to try and review! I was ecstatic and obviously said yes. She sent me the items in the picture below and I also adored the packaging. Isn’t it cool?

Okay so on to the products! They all smell fantastic. I don’t know about you but smell is a big factor in whether or not I will use a product. The smells are not over powering either which is great.

All of the products are vegan, certified organic, and certified fair trade. They are also paraben free, sulfate free, and use all natural ingredients. I’m moving toward switching all of my skincare products to ones that feature natural and simple ingredients. Mainly because our skin is our biggest organ and absorbs chemicals that can end up in your bloodstream. I am beginning to be very picky about what products I use and I’m trying to educate myself on what’s good and what’s harsh. The other reason I love these products is that my skin is uber sensitive and when I say sensitive i mean even some sensitive skin specific products cause reactions for me. I have had 0 issues with any of these products.
So if you’re looking for natural skin care products, have dry skin or eczema, or just looking for some new products to incorporate into self-care Sunday look no further.

My personal favorite from this line so far is the lavender body scrub. It exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time. It left my skin feeling super soft and and smooth. I obviously follow up with the lavender shea butter. Quick warning, it’s a combo that you should use at night because each time I do this I feel so relaxed and I’ve fallen asleep shortly there after.

All in all these products are A1! I’m eager to try more of them and will be purchasing and collecting all the different scents. I even purchased some of the smaller sizes for small gifts to give out during Christmas. The smaller sizes of the Shea butter are also great to stick in your purse to replace that lotion or hand cream you carry around. The prices are also very affordable and reasonable! Like there is no way to lose, so go ahead and check it out.

  • As my daughter Micia said this is an awesome product and I also have very sensitive skin and haven’t had any issues with anything that I have tried so far. My favorite scent is the Lemongrass. I have started using it on a daily basis. The Whipped Shea Butter is great, especially now during the winter months. I had been using my regular lotion and my skin was dry and ashy by the end of the day. I decided to use the Whipped Shea Butter just to do a comparison and my skin was not dry and ashy by the end of the day. I was sold after that. 😀I also keep one of the small jars of the Whipped Shea Butter on my desk and in my purse. I definitely suggest that you give this product a try.

    • That’s amazing Allena. I love the uplifting aroma that lemongrass gives you. You are absolutely right when you explained how the lotion you were using was making your skin dryer. One of the main ingredients in most lotions is water and alcohol which tend to leave your skin very dry. I’m so happy that you’ve been able to tell a big difference in your skin when switching over to the whipped Shea Butter. We do not use water or alcohol in any of our products. ☺
